A TRUSTED ALTERNATIVE TO SURGERY & PAIN MANAGEMENT

At Regenerative Medicine & Rehabilitation of Hawaii, we provide breakthrough, non-surgical treatments that use your body’s own healing agents to treat and repair injuries and other degenerative conditions. We use live image guidance (fluoroscopy and ultrasound) to precisely place high-dose cells from your body directly in areas of tissue injury and damage. Regenexx interventional orthopedic procedures are the world’s most advanced regenerative injection treatments.

OUR PERSONALIZED APPROACH

Everyone’s body is unique and no single procedure is best for every patient. Our integrative approach allows us to get to know you on a personal level during your initial consultation and throughout the treatment process. We evaluate your condition and learn as much as we can to help in the most effective way possible.

MUSCLE, NERVE, AND JOINT TREATMENT

Steroid injections or invasive surgery are not your only options to treat your injury or pain. Interventional orthopedics provides non-surgical alternatives that uses your own cells to enhance healing and restore function.

Current surgical treatment options for common orthopedic injuries and arthritis include pain management strategies to hide or mask the sensation of pain, steroid injections, and ultimately invasive surgical procedures. While all of these approaches may offer temporary relief, they are ultimately destructive and over time may do as much harm as good.

Early diagnosis and treatment can help avoid worsening and prevent surgery. Regenerative medicine is most effective when considered as your first choice, rather than a last resort.

SIGNS TO WATCH FOR

Early diagnosis and treatment can help avoid serious issues and prevent surgery later on. Watch for these signs and symptoms:

  • Muscle or joint pain that persists or recurs over time
  • Numbness, tingling, clicking, locking or weakness in a joint or muscle
  • Pain that prevents sleep
  • Limited range of motion due to pain
  • Difficulty exercising, reaching, lifting or carrying due to joint pain

BODY FACTS

Studies show that cortisone injections to joints increase cartilage damage and incr the likelihood of future surgery. NSAID (like Alleve and Motrin) can harm your heart, blood pressure and kidneys. They can also reduce healing over time. Ice reduces blood flow, which your body needs to heal. Studies show that ice may reduce pain and swelling but does not help heal injured tissue. Just one cortisone injection to the knee will make your immune system weaker and vulnerable to infections, which can reduce the effectiveness of vaccines.
